LEADBETTER'S BAKE SHOP brings an East Coast family tradition to the West Coast. Nancy Leadbetter opened the first Leadbetter's Bakery in Portland, Maine on July 4, 1931. The award-winning Leadbetter bakeries drew loyal customers throughout the local community and state of Maine, and were famous for the family's hearty English muffins and delicious chicken pies. Now, 79 years and four generations of bakers later, Jamieson Leadbetter is bringing his family's baking tradition to the Bay Area.

Jamieson spent many childhood summers working in the family bakery in Maine. But it wasn't until he moved to San Francisco in 2000 that he realized his true calling. Jamieson soon left his corporate job for San Francisco's California Culinary Academy Baking and Pastry Arts program. He is proud to add a new chapter to the family's baking history.
